Schmallenberg Virus Ab. ELISA
  • product details

Schmallenberg virus is an Orthobunyavirus that was first detected in infected cattle in Germany, in 2011. The virus is transmitted to cattle, sheep and goats via mosquitoes and other midges, making it difficult to control its spread across country borders. Schmallenberg virus, closely related to other pathogens transmitted by vectors, can cause congenital defects, abortions and stillbirths in infected livestock.

Kernel Schmallenberg Ab Test provides a rapid, simple, sensitive and specific method for detecting antibodies to Schmallenberg virus (SBV) and other Simbu serogroup viruses in individual serum and plasma samples from cattle, sheep and goats.
